The best music video ever!
Originally introduced by one of my friends, Daft Punk's Around the world is phenomenal!
In a time where music videos looked like old winamp visualizations and the advent of Backstreet boys (1997), emerged revolutionary director MICHEL GONDRY. He envisioned costumes, each signifying its role in the song: drum machine loop thingie (mummies), vocoder- around the world.. (robots), guitar (skeletons), bass ( tall guys with small heads), and synth (what Gondry called disco girls), all dancing in front of disco lights! One of his recent movie was Eternal Sunshine of A spotless Mind, again a visually stunning movie, starring Jim Carey (THIS IS NOT A COMEDY!) & Kate Winslet (But it is a romance movie) .
